7-Eleven Puts Out Call for W. Va. Franchisees

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – 7-Eleven Inc. held an open house for potential franchisees of 39 West Virginia stores this week, reported the Charleston Daily Mail. The available stores are a portion of the 72 the company purchased from Prima Marketing LLC two years ago.

Among the stores, seven are located in Charleston; three in St. Albans; and one in Nitro.

“A 7-Eleven franchise provides an opportunity for individuals, couples or small corporations to open their own ready-to-operate convenience store with an industry leader,” stated Greg Franks, vice president of franchise systems.

The open house took place on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the 4929 MacCorkle Ave. 7-Eleven in Charleston.

Franchise costs include a one-time franchise fee between $50,000 and $120,000, plus approximately $28,000 for inventory and supplies, licenses and a change fund. Retired veterans may be eligible for a discount.
