Atlas Oil's Platinum Power Additive Shines
TAYLOR, Mich. -- Despite harsh winter weather, petroleum marketer and c-store operator Atlas Oil Co.'s proprietary Platinum Power fuel additive has shown success with customers, the company stated.
"During this record-breaking and colder-than-usual winter, I am pleased to say that our fleet of 40-plus did not experience one fuel line freeze-up, break-down or any other problem related to fuel -- not one!" Jim Davis, director of operations for Prairie Farms of Oak Park, Mich., said in a statement. "Never in my 35 years of experience can I remember a smoother time when relating to winter problems. It made my job less stressful while allowing for company savings in the thousands of dollars over previous years."
Since 1994, the fuel addititve has been used each year from Oct. 1, through March 31. Some reported benefits of the fuel additive are: prevents fuel gelling in low temperatures; aids against fuel filter icing; water dispersant to help safely remove water on a gradual basis; and lowers pour point by as much as 45 degrees.
"With Atlas’ Platinum Power, we go through the winter season flawlessly, including during thaws," said Bob Merchberger, local operations manager for Palmer Moving & Storage, in Warren, Mich. "We have not had any gelling or water in our fuel."
