Casey's CEO Robert Myers Receives Two-Year Contract Extension

ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores Inc. gave CEO Robert Myers a two-year contract extension through April 2015.

Myers current contract, signed in 2010, was set to expire in April.

In addition, under terms of the contract extension signed yesterday, Myers, 65, will also receive a $330,000 payment per year for 10 years once he retires from Casey's, the AP reported.

Under Myers' leadership this year, Casey's opened convenience stores in Kentucky and Tennessee for the first time. The convenience store chain now operates about 1,700 c-stores in 13 states.

Myers has served Casey's since 1989. He has been its CEO since June 2006.
