Chester's Opens in California Wine County
DELANO, Calif. -- Residents here will have to determine which wine goes best with fried chicken now that Chester's Intl. completed the grand opening of its newest store located inside the Akal Travel Plaza.
The well-attended ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on May 30th and included an appearance by Chester the Chicken.
"Chester's, a brand that is well known among many professional drivers and travelers nationwide, was the perfect fit for our Akal Travel Plaza in California," Yadvonder Virk, owner and operator of the Akal Travel Plaza, said in a released statement. "This long awaited location will allow locals to try this famed chicken right here at home."
Virk explained that the new dine-in or carry out location will serve lunch and dinner and offer Chester's signature menu options including fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits.
"We are excited to be working with a successful operator like Mr. Virk," Ted Giles, CEO of Chester's, said in a released statement. "We are also excited about bringing our great tasting fresh fried chicken to this beautiful part of the country."
