D.C. Area ExxonMobil Employees Raise $1.6 Million for Charity

FAIRFAX, Va.-- ExxonMobil employees and companies in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area raised a record $1.6 million for non-profits during its recently concluded "Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign."

"We are extremely proud of our employees continued commitment to invest in the communities where we live and work," said Charlie Maguire, 2003 ExxonMobil Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign Co-Chair, and Vice President of Engineering, ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company. "Our employees understand the impact our support has on many local organizations during a critical time of need."

Employees personally contributed $1,181,270 to help support their favorite non-profit organizations, and the campaign provided employees with the opportunity to give 100 percent of their contribution to their charity of choice. Exxon Mobil Corporation also provided a corporate contribution of $405,000 to be distributed to 157 local health and human services non-profit organizations based on aggregate donations from employees.

The chosen organizations receiving checks ranging from $250 to $23,655, the company reported.
