Deborah Cline, 'CSNews' Sales Rep, Dies Suddenly

LOS ANGELES -- Deborah Cline, owner of Adwest Enterprises and Convenience Store News’ West Coast sales representative for the past seven years, died Sunday morning after being hospitalized a week earlier with an undisclosed illness.

In addition to running her own independent sales agency, Cline represented CSNews as West Coast Account Executive since 2002. "She was a remarkable person," said Scott Seltz, vice president and publishing director of Nielsen’s Food Group, "a beautiful personality and an individual who chose to see the good in everyone and in everything. And it was that latter quality that had the most profound affect on me, personally."

Prior to launching her own publishers’ rep firm, Cline worked at White Associates as West Coast Sales Manager from 1996 to 2006.

Services were held yesterday at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

For anyone wishing to make a donation, the family suggested Gilda’s Club Worldwide, www.gildasclub.org

A party to celebrate Cline’s life is planned for 6 p.m., Friday, May 29 at The Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica, Calif.

Cline is survived by her life partner, Paul Sigelman, her parents, Jack and Joan Cline, and two brothers.
