Fresh & Easy to open 11 More Arizona Stores

PHOENIX -- Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market will open an additional 11 Fresh & Easy markets in Arizona. The company currently operates 26 markets in the state, with another store opening on Nov. 13.

"We are starting to change the way people shop. We sell restaurant-quality food at incredible prices and people are really noticing the value Fresh & Easy offers," said Tim Mason, CEO of Fresh & Easy. "We look forward to opening more stores and bringing more great food and quality jobs to neighborhoods here in Arizona."

Fresh & Easy currently has 96 stores open in California, Arizona and Nevada.

At roughly 10,000 square feet, Fresh & Easy markets are smaller than the typical supermarket to give customers a faster, easier shopping experience, the company reported. In addition to fresh, prepared meals and produce, Fresh & Easy offers national brand products and household items at everyday low prices.

Each store employs approximately 20 to 30 people, and all employees are given the opportunity to work at least 20 hours per week, which entitles them to comprehensive and affordable healthcare. Entry-level positions start at $9 an hour in Arizona, with similarly competitive salaries in other states, and offer a quarterly bonus of up to 10 percent and a 401(K) with company match, according to the company.
