Fresh & Easy Recalls Pistachios

04/09/2009
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- In response to the expanded recall of pistachios announced by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc. April 6, Tesco's Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets is voluntarily recalling all date codes of fresh&easy Chili & Lemon Flavored Pistachios due to a potential contamination with salmonella.

As a precaution, Fresh & Easy originally removed this product from sale on March 30, pending the outcome of the Food and Drug Administration and California Department of Public Health investigation. This is the only fresh&easy product that contains pistachios from Setton Farms. No other fresh&easy branded products are included in this recall.

The recalled product was sold in Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market stores located in California, Nevada, and Arizona.
