Giant Launches Payment Program
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Giant Industries Inc., a Southwest refiner and operator of 146 Mustang and Giant retail outlets across three states, recently became the first fuel supplier to employ the processing services of Paymentech, a payment solutions expert.
The arrangement comes as Dallas-based Paymentech recently became a processing option for Comdata Merchant Services, a provider of financial and informational services to the transportation industry; and for Trendar, a supplier of equipment, software and business management solutions to the auto plaza segment.
"We want to give our customers the fastest, most reliable payment options available," said Kara Gunderson, Giant's fuels marketing manager. "The transportation industry depends heavily on safety, speed and accuracy. And we feel this decision will further demonstrate our commitment to complete industry satisfaction with our products and services."
The payment system is being rolled out at Giant Travel Centers in New Mexico, said Tom Nipper, petroleum sales manager at Paymentech.
