Gulf Enters Massachusetts Electricity Game With Fenway Park Deal
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- The Gulf Oil logo has appeared in historic Fenway Park's leftfield for many years. Now, Gulf Oil LP's latest venture, Gulf Electricity, will power the home of the Boston Red Sox.
Gulf Electricity has become the official electricity supplier to Fenway Park. The multi-year agreement is an extension of Gulf's longtime relationship with the Red Sox.
"We are proud to deepen our relationship with our longtime partners, the Boston Red Sox," said Gulf Oil President Ron Sabia. "As each of our enterprises continues to innovate, it is fitting for Gulf to introduce its new electricity service to Massachusetts consumers first at Fenway.
Gulf Electricity was launched in January and currently services consumers and small businesses in Connecticut. In addition to the Fenway Park supply arrangement, Gulf plans to offer its electricity service in the Bay State later this year.
"We are using our expertise in sourcing and distributing energy efficiently to bring savings to consumers who want the best value from a company they can rely on," said Gulf Oil Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rick Dery.
Gulf Oil LP is a national, branded supplier of motor fuels throughout the United States and its territories.
