Kroger Opens First Scott's Fuel Center

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Grocer Kroger Co. opened its first Scott's fuel center here last week, and plans to open a total of 10 Scott's fuel center locations at its grocery stores over the next three years, reported area TV station WANE.

The fuel center complements the Scott's food store on West State Boulevard here. It is also the first in Kroger's Central Division to feature handicap service call buttons at every pump, according to the report. The station also boasts Kroger's reward program, which allows customers who use a loyalty card to earn a 10 cent per gallon discount, WANE reported.

The addition of fuel centers at Kroger and Scott's grocery stores is part of a company strategy to provide as many products and services as possible, the report stated.
