Kum & Go District Supervisor Recognized for Military Support
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Kum & Go LC proudly announced that one of its district supervisors has been recognized for supporting employees who are also military personnel.
District Supervisor Blaine Corlette was awarded the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award for his support of a Kum & Go store associate.
The ESGR Patriot Award recognizes supervisors who are nominated by an employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve. The award reflects the supervisor's efforts to support military personnel through a wide range of measures, including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
"Blaine's dedication echoes our company-wide commitment to men and women in uniform," said Kyle J. Krause, president and CEO of Kum & Go. "We're proud of our associates who serve our country and equally proud of associates like Blaine who help support our hometown heroes while they are called to serve."
Corlette was nominated for this award by his employee, Major Don Johnson of the Army National Guard, who manages the Sioux Falls Kum & Go store at 6001 S. Western Ave. Corlette recently received the award during a special ceremony held at the store.
"I know it's not just Blaine that makes all this possible. It's the attitude of Kum & Go management that encourages Blaine to support me," Johnson stated. "Blaine and other associates have a genuine interest in my career goals at Kum & Go and in the military."
