Love's Opens First Fast-Fill CNG Station in Texas Triangle

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores opened its first Texas Triangle fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at its Willis, Texas, site. Located on Interstate 45, Exit 95, the CNG offering is available for both heavy-duty trucks and passenger vehicles.

"Willis is in a location that’s heavily traveled by professional fleets and light-duty vehicles, so this location makes sense. It’s the first station completed in the Texas Triangle, designed to make travel between Houston, Dallas and San Antonio using CNG feasible," said Bill Cashmareck, general manager of natural gas at Love’s. "We will open several more Love’s fast-fill CNG locations in additional areas to complete the triangle, opening up a corridor between the three cities. We’re excited to introduce this cost-effective option to Willis and the state of Texas."

According to Love's, CNG is currently available for $1.99 at the Willis location. The travel stop operator will host a celebration for the addition of CNG on March 4 at 11 a.m. local time.

Love's fast-fill CNG stations are designed to deliver a fill rate of greater than 10 gallons per minute in all lanes.

"We’ve made a promise to provide innovative solutions to our customers. Supplying them with the option to use Love’s fast-fill CNG is one way we’ve kept that promise," said Cashmareck.

Love's plans to offer fast-fill CNG at 10 of its travel stops by the end of 2014.

Oklahoma City-based Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores operates more than 310 locations in 39 states.
