Mate Tea

Bombilla & Gourd was the first company to bring consumers ready-to-drink Mate tea, the company reported. Mate comes in Lemon -- a treat at only 40 calories, Peach and Mint & Honey flavors. The health drink has 90 percent more antioxidants than green tea and contains 25 vitamins and minerals and 15 amino acids. Mate tea has less caffeine than a cup of coffee, giving drinkers energy with theobromine and soothing them with theophyline, without the crash usually associated with a caffeinated drink. The 16-ounce bottle retails for $1.79.
