MFA Oil Inks Deal with Lynk

NEW YORK -- Lynk Systems, Inc., an electronic payment solutions provider, announced that Columbia, Mo.-based MFA Oil Co., a fuel cooperative that operates and supplies fuel to approximately 450 convenience stores and gas stations, has signed a long-term agreement with Lynk to provide end-to-end electronic payment processing.

In addition to credit, debit, prepaid and EBT card processing, MFA Oil will use Lynk's proprietary FuelLynk fleet program to accommodate its Preferred and Petro-Card 24 cards.

MFA Oil locations processing payment transactions using VeriFone's Ruby SuperSystem(R) will be upgraded with LynkPak, a network processing application for the Ruby. LynkPak, which was custom developed for Lynk, interfaces with a wide range of fleet card networks and all of the major fuel dispensers, allowing the user to standardize operations at their convenience stores.

Lynk will also upgrade MFA Oil locations using the VeriFone Tranz 380 point-of-sale (POS) terminal with PetroTrans, Lynk's proprietary stand-alone terminal solution for the petroleum/c-store industry. PetroTrans is a unique POS solution because it allows a merchant to process all of their electronic payments -- fleet, credit, debit, EBT and prepaid -- through a single POS terminal.

"By listening to what we want and focusing on what we need, the Lynk team has successfully upgraded our existing systems, and has allowed us to maximize our original investments," said Jim Belcher, vice president of information technology for MFA Oil. "And by doing so, they have delivered on their commitments to MFA Oil."
