More Retailers Take ALS Challenge

NATIONAL REPORT – More convenience store retailers are joining in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's disease, and money for the ALS Association.

Kum & Go LC CEO Kyle Krause accepted the challenge from Casey's General Stores CEO Bob Myers. While wearing a regular workday suit, Krause was drenched with cold water and ice in a video viewable on Kum & Go's Facebook page.

Krause then challenged Meredith Corp.'s Steve Lacy, Berkshire Hathaway Energy's Greg Abel, Holmes Murphy & Associates' Dan Keough, and his five children to take the challenge.

Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes President and CEO Fran Duskiewicz also accepted the challenge with an extra step. Every Nice N Easy store that reaches $1,000 in donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association by Sunday, Aug. 24, will be entered into a drawing for the chance to douse him.
