NACS Announces Upcoming Global Forums, Study Tours

LAS VEGAS-- NACS announced its schedule for upcoming Global Forums and international study tours through 2008 during the NACS Show in Las Vegas.

The NACS Global Forum and international study tours offer tightly focused store tours, educational sessions and networking events with suppliers and retailers from around the world. NACS also has initiated a NACS Global State of the Industry, created a NACS Global Government Affairs Council and a NACS Global Initiatives Committee and annually sponsors the NACS Global Scholarship Competition.

The following is a list of upcoming NACS Global Forums:

The 6th NACS Global Forum will take place June 18-20, 2006, in conjunction with the CIES World Food Business Summit in Paris, France, and will be combined with an international study tour in Paris and Brussels.

The 7th NACS Global Summit will take place in Las Vegas at the NACS Show 2006, which will take place Oct. 8-11.

"The NACS Global Forum is essential for members who want to learn and experience first-hand ideas that are successful around the world," said David Tucker, NACS senior vice president of industry relations. "It allows both retailers and suppliers to acquire valuable insight into global and regional practices and trends that are directly transferable to their companies."

The 2006, 2007 and 2008 Global Forums include international study tours--an examination of various retail formats, business models and the latest innovations in products and services. In 2006, the forum will include tours of stores in Paris on June 18 and Brussels on June 20. On June 21, the CIES World Food Business Summit opens in Paris.
