PDI Teams with DTN Energy

TEMPLE, Texas --Professional Datasolutions Inc. (PDI) said it has released a new integration between its fuel reconciliation software and DTN Energy, a seasoned technology services company that delivers solutions to increase data communication and transaction efficiencies. This collaboration has resulted in the ability of PDI/Fuel Reconciliation software to import DTN Energy's electronic data interchange (EDI) formatted fuel invoice files as an electronic bill of lading (eBOL). This gives users a reliable source of eBOL to automate the reconciliation of store-level input to electronic manifests."For over a decade, we've processed and distributed over 203 million data communication files," said Gary Bevers, executive vice president of marketing and product development for DTN Energy. "This year alone, we have processed, translated, and transmitted over 781,000 EDI and file transfer protocol (FTP) messages integrated directly into 172 marketers' back office systems. We are excited to work with PDI to bring the petroleum industry a means of consistent and accurate electronic fuel reporting."The PDI/Fuel Reconciliation software was developed to support a pilot e-commerce program between a major oil company and their retail marketers. The resulting product delivers the ability to receive and reconcile eBOL information from various data sources including terminal automation solutions, fuel suppliers, and carriers. "The success of our new product has been slowed by the absence of electronic manifest information. By working with DTN Energy, we have opened up new opportunities for productivity in the home office," said Bruce Bates, vice president of sales for PDI.
