Rhode Island Retailers Sport Irving Oil Brand

CRANSTON and North Providence, R.I. -- The Irving Oil flag is being flown at two new retail locations in the state, as the Rocchio family's full-service Park Avenue Gas station and Anthony Zabatta’s Car Wash King location rebranded gas banners recently.

Park Avenue Gas, located in Cranston, is owned by Peter and Marie Rocchio, and their sons, Paul and Phil. Their former service station was remodeled into a convenience store with the Irving brand of motor fuels.

"We did our homework on Irving," Phil Rocchio said in a statement. "And we found they have the same values as we do. They have a commitment to quality products, good customer service and they are a family-owned business. Like us, Irving is committed to supporting the communities where they do business."

As part of the rebranding, Park Avenue Gas will offer the Override program, which allows customers to lower the price they pay for a gallon of gas when they shop at a local Shaw's Supermarket. A minimum grocery purchase of $50 will earn shoppers 10 cents off per gallon for the next gas purchase, up to 20 gallons.

In other Irving Oil news, the Car Wash King location in North Providence now sports the Irving Oil logo, as owner Anthony Zabatta recently became a new dealer for Irving.

"This is a busy, friendly, family-run business and we could not be happier that Anthony is the one who will introduce the Irving name to the North Providence area," Harry Hadiaris, general manager of Irving Oil Marketing Inc., said in a statement.

The Car Wash King offers a car wash and a full-service convenience store offering the Rhode Island Lottery, Budget Rent-A-Truck and NFC Express delivery service, the company stated. With the new brand, the Car Wash King will also offer the Override gas savings program.

"We’re a local business with a great reputation and I was looking for a solid partner that has a commitment to quality products and service. Irving offered all of that to me, and I’m looking forward to a long association with them," Zabatta said in a statement. "With Irving’s competitive pricing and the additional savings that the Override program offers, our customers will be very happy."
