Self-Service Kiosk To Display Nutrition Facts

NEW YORK -- An innovative, walk-up, touch-screen kiosk application is being produced through a joint venture of Walk Up Systems, Codespear and Vultron Display Technologies. The new devices will provide comprehensive nutritional information and optional interactive ordering for fast food restaurants, according to the companies.

The kiosk's will be integrated into a restaurant's existing POS system, and are designed to address FDA obesity and nutritional labeling concerns. They utilize an intuitive touch-screen interface that Walk Up Systems sold to food service manager Sodexho for the use at the University of South Carolina. Walk up systems also provided the application software that runs on the kiosk.

Codespear collaborated in the software development and configures all kiosk components, including speakers, printers and credit card readers, and Vultron manufacturers the kiosk units.
