Shell Celebrates Fuel Launch With Free Gasoline Giveaways

HOUSTON -- Shell is marking the launch of its new Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines by giving away free fuel during 90-minute promotional periods in three major U.S. cities today, March 14. A fourth giveaway will be announced on March 21.

A local radio station in each city will announce the selected Shell station where the giveaway will take place, or consumers can check the "On the Road" tab on Shell's Facebook page. Qualifying vehicles that visit the station during the promotional period can receive up to 15 complimentary gallons of regular-grade Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines.

"The 'No Other Gasoline Protects Better' Gasoline Giveaways give us an opportunity to celebrate the launch of the NEW Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines which help consumers protect their investment in their vehicle, typically their second largest investment," said Dan Little, North America fuels marketing manager, Shell Oil Products U.S. "We also understand that consumers are concerned with rising prices at the pump and want to remind them of our commitment to value through our various reward and payment card programs designed to help them save on fuel without sacrificing quality."

The new fuel formulation offers 20 percent more active cleaning agents than before and is designed to protect intake valves and fuel injectors from carbon deposit build-up, guarding a car's performance, according to Shell.
