Speedway SuperAmerica Signs on US Tank Alliance

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Speedway SuperAmerica enlisted US Tank Alliance (UST), an underground storage tank system testing and screening company, for the retailer's lighting maintenance program.

UST will have the sole responsibility for lamp replacement for 1,600 Speedway SuperAmerica locations across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Under the contract, UST will visit the locations every other month, totaling six routine visits per year. In addition, UST professionals will respond to emergency issues that might occur at locations.

UST will also replace HVAC and water filters, along with Tier one audits -- including fire extinguishers, emergency exits and water line leak inspections -- at each location.

"This proactive program eliminates the need for Speedway SuperAmerica to hire independent maintenance contractors in each market," Fernando Crosa, president of UST, said in a written statement. "It also allows for each location to build a beneficial relationship with their lighting representative, instead of having to deal with a different person during every visit."
