Valero/UDS Aid Flood Victims

SAN ANTONIO -- A week after floods ravaged southern Texas, donations and volunteers are still pouring in at the Salvation Army. Valero Energy Corp., and its Ultramar Diamond Shamrock subsidiary, are providing assistance in the form of volunteers and donated supplies.

Valero provided 25,000 gallons of bottled water donated by the company's retail network, Diamond Shamrock, as well as its supplier partners, Ozarka and McLane Co.

Five of McLane's distribution trucks filled with 4,500 cases of water made the delivery to the Salvation Army of San Antonio earlier this week. The donated water will be distributed to residents throughout south Texas who've been impacted by the record floods.

In addition, the company's employees collected hundreds of cleaning supplies, household goods and non-perishable food to be donated to the flood relief effort. The Valero Volunteers worked at the Salvation Army, helping to collect, sort, organize and distribute these much-needed supplies to flood victims.
