WilcoHess Selects Stampede Platform
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- WilcoHess LLC, operator of nearly 400 travel plazas and convenience stores in the southeastern U.S., selected Stampede Technologies Inc. for its Acceleration Series, which will improve response times for online users in remote store locations, as well as reduce overall bandwidth utilization, the supplier stated.
The two-sided Stampede Application Acceleration Series is currently being deployed at WilcoHess. It features a hardware/software acceleration solution that maximizes performance and bandwidth utilization of enterprise applications, the company stated.
A key technology being used by WilcoHess is Stampede's Content Pre-Caching feature, which will allow the retailer to define important documents that can be "pre-cached" to end users during off hours, ensuring that response time is almost instantaneous on first-time use of the document, the company stated.
"The Stampede solution was just what we needed to improve application performance in our store locations," Ed Freels, CIO for WilcoHess, said in a statement. "The Pre-Caching feature was something that has made a big difference for our users, and along with the rest of the product solution, we will see an excellent return on investment for the Stampede SAAS solution."
