Wawa Store Aids in Marriage Proposal
EASTON, Pa. — One couple not only shares a love for each other, but for Wawa Inc. convenience stores as well.
So, when it came time for Brian to ask Lindsay to spend the rest of her life with him, he turned to associates at their favorite Wawa spot in Easton for help popping the question.
With his proposal displayed on a nearby digital sign, Brian got down on one knee in front of the store's coffee bar and asked Lindsay to marry him. She said yes.
"The couple frequent Wawa often (they say it's one of their favorite places), so they wanted to include us in their special moment," a Wawa associate told Sixteen:Nine blog. "This, by far, was the most exciting digital signage we've created … lots of fun."
No word on whether Wawa hoagies will be on the menu at the wedding reception.
"Congratulations to Brian and Lindsay, and thank you for choosing us to host your special moment," Wawa posted on its Facebook page. "Here's to a lifetime of coffee pick-me-ups, toasted hoagies, shared smiles, warm hugs and unforgettable moments."
Pennsylvania-based Wawa Inc. operates more than 680 convenience stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.
