Jim DeFilippis Joins NOCO Executive Management Team

TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Jim DeFilippis has been promoted to vice president of NOCO Energy Corp. In his new role, DeFilippis is now a member of the company’s executive management leadership group — the first such group since the company’s founding in 1933. He also still serves as general manager of the NOCO Express division.

DeFilippis has nearly 40 years of retail industry experience and was NOCO Express’ director of merchandising and marketing prior to his current role with the company. Before joining NOCO in 2012, he served as director of fresh food for Acosta Sales & Marketing.

He's also held several key leadership positions in the supermarket industry, including vice president of operations at Tops Markets; director of produce/floral at Kings Supermarkets; director of operations at Inserra Supermarkets; and director of produce and operations at GIANT Food Stores. Additionally, DeFilippis has owned and operated several businesses that included fresh food markets, catering and wholesale salad businesses.

The Lancaster, N.Y., resident received several business certifications from Penn State Business Academy and Hillsdale College of Michigan.

Tonawanda-based NOCO Energy Corp. is family-owned and –operated. The company operates 37 NOCO Express convenience stores throughout the region and offers a full line of energy products and services to residential and commercial customers.
