Kellogg Reinstates Kashi as Standalone Business
LA JOLLA, Calif. — In an effort to "provide significant growth opportunities over time," The Kellogg Co. is reestablishing its Kashi family of brands as a standalone natural foods business, the company said.
The new Kashi business — which includes the Kashi, Bear Naked and Stretch Island Fruit Co. brands — will be based in the greater La Jolla area and led by David Denholm, former president of U.S. Morning Foods, who rejoined The Kellogg Co. on Sept. 2 as Kashi Co. CEO.
Having led the business in 2004, Denholm brings deep knowledge of the natural lifestyle category and will focus on the food, trends and healthful benefits of the Kashi line of products, the company stated.
Denholm reports to Kellogg Chairman and CEO John Bryant.
