7-Eleven Takes a Bite Out of Shark Week
IRVING, Texas — 7-Eleven Inc.’s newest specialty bakery treat can be used as a floatation device during this year's Shark Week, which starts June 26.
Taking a bite out of the long-running Discovery Channel series, the Blue Raspberry Slurpee-flavored donut can be purchased for 99 cents at 7-Eleven locations throughout the United States, according to a report by Time.
The 270-calorie treat has “Blue Raspberry Slurpee-flavored icing, topped with blue sugar crystals to give the donut an ice-like crunch,” 7-Eleven stated in a news release.
The new flavor comes just a little more than a month after the retailer released a Wild Cherry Slurpee-flavored donut, launched to help 7-Eleven celebrate the Slurpee turning “Fiftee." The Wild Cherry Slurpee-flavored donut release was also done in conjunction with the chain’s second "Bring Your Own Cup" Slurpee event, as CSNews Online previously reported.
Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises and licenses more than 10,700 7-Eleven stores in North America.
