Love's Concludes Nationwide Rollout of TirePass
OKLAHOMA CITY — Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores recently completed its systemwide rollout of TirePass, a full-service tire inflation system that detects potential tire- and wheel-related problems before they occur.
"TirePass is a solution Love's provides to save our customers on their cost per mile," stated Dan Jensen, director of tire sales and service for Love's. "Underinflated tires and uneven tread wear can decrease fuel efficiency and lead to dangerous situations. Customers have been pleased with how fast our trained technicians can perform this critical piece of preventative maintenance and we're happy to offer it to more drivers."
TirePass is now available at more than 200 Love's locations. Most locations with Love's Truck Tire Care centers are equipped with TirePass, and new locations with tire care facilities will begin receiving TirePass, the company said.
TirePass is designed to extend the life of a tire by automatically inflating tires to the desired pressure. While a driver fuels up, a technician hooks up truck and/or trailer tires to the automatic inflators stationed around the vehicle in the designated TirePass fueling lane. If necessary, tires are inflated, and tread depth and pressure are measured and recorded. The use of Flow-Through valve caps maximizes drivers' experience.
Fleet managers can receive immediate notification if a major problem is detected, providing them real-time visibility of their units, and reports on all assessments performed throughout the month give fleets a way to analyze the life of their units' tires. Drivers also receive immediate reports showing the status of their tires.
Love's began installing TirePass across the country earlier in 2015, as CSNews Online previously reported.
Oklahoma City-based Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores has more than 350 locations in 40 states.
