7-Eleven Expands Agreement with SAP
NEW YORK -- 7-Eleven Inc., headquartered in Dallas, has expanded its agreement with retail technology firm SAP AG to bring a demand-management solution to the chain's 5,500 stores.
The agreement, made at the National Retail Federation (NRF) 97th Annual Convention and Expo being held in New York, will allow 7-Eleven to make competitive decisions on pricing, the company stated.
"Responding appropriately in today's fast-paced environment is critical," said Scott McCombs, senior director for merchandise intelligence for 7-Eleven. "We selected the business solution from SAP because it provides us with a way to make better decisions faster."
The demand management solution is based on SAP's NetWeaver technology platform and provides decision support for pricing, promotion and markdown business decisions, the company said.
