7-Eleven Extends BOGO Slurpee Promotion
IRVING, Texas — 7-Eleven Inc. is doubling its Buy One-Get One Free Slurpee promotion by extending it through Sunday, Sept. 25 at participating U.S. 7-Eleven stores. Customers who buy a Slurpee in any size or flavor can receive a second Slurpee drink of the same size or smaller for free.
The original promotion ran through Sept. 18, as CSNews Online previously reported.
"At 7-Eleven, we try to give our customers what they want, need and love," said Laura Gordon, vice president of marketing and brand innovation for 7-Eleven. "And they love Buy One-Get One Slurpee drinks. So much so that we decided to add a second week and extend the Slurpee party another week."
The promotion continues the Slurpee Fiftee Partee, which celebrates the 50th birthday of the iconic frozen drink. Fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #SLURPEE50 on social media to share how they have celebrated with photos.
"Lots of people have been spreading the Slurpee love and surprising people with the free drink they receive when they purchase one," Gordon said. "BOGO Slurpee is a great way to brighten someone else's day with a Slurp-it-Forward free Slurpee."
Although it is not necessary to participate in the 7Rewards program to take advantage of the promotion, members can count both the purchased and free Slurpee drinks toward the "Buy Six, Get the Seventh Free" drink offer available on the 7-Eleven smartphone app.
Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. operates, franchises and licenses more than 10,700 7-Eleven stores in North America.
