7-Eleven, Gilbarco Extend Dispenser Agreement
DALLAS -- 7-Eleven Inc., franchisor and operator of more than 7,500 convenience stores in North America, expended its dispenser purchasing agreement with Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root through 2010, the manufacturer stated.
"Gilbarco dispensers have been an important part of our successful interaction with customers at the fuel island," Bill Runciman, general manager of gasoline operations at 7-Eleven, said in a statement. "We look forward to working with Gilbarco on new developments that further enhance our gasoline customer's experience."
Through the agreement, 7-Eleven, which has been a customer of Gilbarco since 1972, will continue to purchase Gilbarco Encore dispensers, which will offer the retail advanced security and payment choices, along with options for alternative fuels.
"7-Eleven has developed and sustained leadership status in the convenience store industry," Richard Browne, vice president of North America marketing for Gilbarco Veeder-Root, said in a statement. "It continues to be an honor to support 7-Eleven as its gasoline dispenser equipment and solutions provider."
