7-Eleven Kicks Off 'Hundred Days of Summer'

IRVING, Texas — 7-Eleven Inc. is kicking off the "Hundred Days of Summer" by holding a Buy One-Get One Free Slurpee event at participating stores from May 27 through May 30.

As part of its Fiftee Celebration of the iconic drink, the convenience store chain thanked Slurpee fans for their loyalty by sharing their favorite Slurpee drink with a friend.

Customers who bought any size of Slurpee were able to receive a second Slurpee drink for free. The free Slurpee could be the same size or smaller.

"Slurpee is an experience to be shared," stated Laura Gordon, vice president of marketing and brand innovation. "Our customers bring family and friends with them when they stop by a 7-Eleven store for a Slurpee drink. This offer is not only a great value but also provides a time to make new friends with a Slurp-it-Forward — a way to brighten someone else's day with a free Slurpee."

On social media, 7-Eleven is using the hashtag #SLURPEE50 so Slurpee fans can share their experience on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat (with the username REALLYSLURPEE).

During the Buy One-Get One Slurpee event, both the purchased and free Slurpee drinks counted toward the 7Rewards "Buy Six, Get the Seventh Free" drink offer on 7-Eleven's mobile app.
