Aloha Petroleum Donates $5,000 to the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Aloha Petroleum Ltd. presented the American Red Cross Hawaii Chapter with a $5,000 donation to support the agency's disaster relief efforts in Japan, the company reported.

Richard Parry, Aloha Petroleum president and chief executive officer, presented a check to Coralie Matayoshi, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter, on March 30.

"The people of Hawaii have such strong ties to Japan, and many of us have relatives and friends who live in the areas that were impacted," said Parry. "We want to do what we can to help and we know that others in our community want to offer their support as well. The Red Cross is always there to help in the aftermath of disasters, both in our own community and across the globe, and we're proud to support their efforts."

In addition, Aloha Petroleum has set up special donation canisters at all Aloha Island Mart locations and participating Shell stations to collect funds to support Red Cross relief efforts. The canisters will be in place through May 31.
