Aloha Petroleum Spreads Christmas Cheer

HONOLULU -- Aloha Petroleum Ltd. donated $6,000 to Toys for Tots Hawaii, which distributes new toys at Christmas to disadvantaged children in the Islands, the company reported.

"Every child should experience the joy of unwrapping a new toy at Christmas, and we’re pleased to help make this happen for keiki in our community," Richard Parry, Aloha Petroleum president and chief executive officer said in a released statement. "We launched our fund drive in October so we could collect as much money as possible for Toys for Tots Hawaii, which had an ambitious goal this year of delivering more than 45,000 toys locally."

Aloha Petroleum set up donation canisters at its 30 Aloha Island Mart locations on Oahu and the Big Island to collect funds for Toys for Tots Hawaii. In just three months, the company collected $6,000 to help the nonprofit organization purchase Christmas toys.

"Our customers and employees are extremely generous. Their contributions will go a long way to make the holidays brighter for our keiki," added Parry.
