Alta Convenience Takes Over Six Colorado Stores

DENVER — Private equity firm Western Alta Holdings Co., parent company to Alta Convenience Stores, has acquired six Colorado convenience stores through a joint venture with Loco Inc.

The c-stores — which were taken over by Alta Convenience on March 1 — are located in Grand Junction, Fruita and Glenwood Springs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are very excited about these six stores and our partnership with LOCO Inc.,” commented Phil Zaccaria, general partner and CEO of Western Alta Holdings. “The management team lead by Rich Spresser, president, has done a great job over the last year of fine tuning our operations making this addition a quick smooth one. Our intent is to continue to aggressively grow the company with strategic acquisitions that will tuck-in with the current retail platform.”

The addition of the six c-stores to the Alta Convenience brand compliments Western Alta’s growth plans and increases its retail division to 61 locations throughout Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and New Mexico.

Alta Convenience Stores parent Western Alta Holdings LP Co. acquired the retail division and operating company of Pester Marketing Co. from World Fuel Services Corp. in October 2016, as CSNews Online previously reported. Western Alta Holdings is based in San Antonio, while World Fuel Services is based in Denver.
