AmazonFresh Pickup Service Officially Makes Its Debut

SEATTLE — E-commerce giant Amazon.com can officially add "pickup service" to its list of amenities.

AmazonFresh Pickup, the retailer's new click-and-collect grocery service, allows Amazon Prime members to place their grocery order and have it delivered straight to their car trunk in as little as 15 minutes.

According to Amazon's website, "Whether you're shopping for your weekly groceries or picking up a last-minute item, we have thousands of grocery items available at low prices — including high-quality meats, fresh produce, bread, dairy, household essentials and more."

The grocery service is currently open to Amazon employees only in its beta program, similar to its Amazon Go checkout-free format.

AmazonFresh Pickup will be available at two Seattle neighborhood locations: SoDo and Ballard.
