Analysts: Couche-Tard to Release a Sour Report
TORONTO -- Due to rising gas prices, high credit card fees and lower store profit margins, Couche-Tard is expected to announce dismal fourth quarter earnings tomorrow.
Senior TD Newcrest consumer products analyst Michael Van Aelst said the aforementioned segmental dips are due in large part to consumers reducing their driving habits.
While Couche-Tard is maintaining market share, analysts feel that the purported poor fourth quarter statistics will lead to a negative start to fiscal 2009.
