Arizona Partners with Operation Smile
Arizona Beverage Co. is teaming up with Operation Smile for a special retailer promotion. Through the partnership, which was announced at the 2005 NACS Show, retailers who add 1 liter Arizona bottles to their planograms will have a donation sent in the company's name to the charity.
Arizona will donate 5 percent of each retailer's cost to the organization, according to Robert Marciano, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for the Lake Success, NY-based beverage maker.
The 1 liter bottles are now available in Lemon and Green Tea, and soon, also in Sweet Tea. They are specially labeled to inform consumers of the partnership.
Operation Smile, headquartered in Norfolk, Va., has volunteers throughout the world dedicated to repairing childhood facial deformities, while building public and private partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems. To date, more than 90,000 children have been treated in 25 countries and more than 10,000 healthcare professionals trained.
