Atlas Oil Acquires Indiana's Ro-Di Oil
TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co., headquartered here, acquired Ro-Di Oil Co., of Veedersburg, Ind., which distributes approximately 10mm gallons of petroleum products annually in the central Indiana marketplace.
Ro-Di Oil is a privately held company that has been in business for the past 17 years. President Ron Hayman will assist in the transition of the business and customer relationships, while his son, RD Hayman, has joined the Atlas Oil team as district manager and will be instrumental in driving planned future growth in the region, according to a news release issued by Atlas.
"The acquisition of Ro-Di Oil Co. is a natural extension of our retail business and enhances our present dealer model," Sam Simon, CEO and owner of Atlas Oil Co., said in a statement. "Strategically, this addition extends our Indiana footprint and adds to our transportation business and wholesale branded and unbranded customer base."
Atlas is a national fuel supply and distribution company that meets the needs of businesses, municipalities and government agencies in 23 states. The company also supplies fuel to nearly 400 gas stations/convenience stores throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
