Atlas Oil Co. Makes 2008 'Top Workplace' List
TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co. is officially one of the top placed to work in the area, according to the Detroit Free Press , which named it one of the "Top Workplaces" for 2008 and ranked the company fourth among midsize firms.
This list identifies the leading workplaces in the Detroit Metro area based upon employee opinions, and Atlas emerged as one of the standouts among 191 southeast Michigan companies.
"This is quite an honor and we are very happy to be recognized among the best employers", Sam Simon, CEO of Atlas Oil Co., said in a statement.
Sam Simon created Atlas Cares for his team members, which is an Atlas team member sponsored program designed to make a difference in lives of others while giving back to the community. Atlas’ Core Values (passion, grow or go, pride and image, customer focus, solution driven and do the right thing) are not just words on a piece of paper. We believe in them and we live by them."
Atlas is now able to use the "Top Workplaces" logo on its recruitment materials, Web site and other company communications. The "Detroit Free Press: Top Workplace" list is printed in the Oct. 19, 2008 edition of the newspaper.
