Atlas Oil Named "Top Workplace" for Second Year

TAYLOR, Mich. -- Atlas Oil Co. was honored as a "Top Workplace" by the Detroit Free Press in 2009, the second consecutive year the award was given to the company.

The 2009 Top Workplaces were chosen based on a survey conducted for the newspaper, where surveys were completed by more than 32,000 employees from 173 companies throughout southeast Michigan, according to Atlas Oil.

"Atlas has big dreams and we understand that success is only possible when we have happy and productive team members," Sam Simon, CEO of Atlas Oil, said in a statement. "Our customers and employees are always top priorities and we make sure that both are well cared for."

Atlas was recognized for its training programs, professional development opportunities and tuition reimbursement programs. One such training program developed by Atlas was Seals, which stands for Safe, Educated, Atlas Leaders, and helps train and teach new Atlas employees the culture of the company.
