AWMA to Co-Locate Conferences in 2013
FAIRFAX, Va. – The American Wholesale Marketers Association (AWMA) announced that it is co-locating its two recently launched meetings, the AWMA/C-Metrics Convenience Industry Outlook Forum and the AWMA/DEF Harmonizing Assortment program, to the Loews New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans next year.
"We recognized a lot of overlap in the attendance at these two meetings, both of which were launched in 2012. By holding them back to back in the same hotel in New Orleans, we are able to get a great rate from the hotel. We can also save attendees who want to go to both meetings time and travel costs," Scott Ramminger, AWMA's president, said in a press release.
The C-Metrics Convenience Industry Outlook Forum will take place June 24-25 and will focus on the latest industrywide sales data. The information presented is developed through AWMA InfoMetrics and will be projected to 146,000 convenience stores nationwide via C-Metrics.
The Harmonizing Assortment program will take place June 25-27. During this event, industry consultants will guide attendees through the process of using data to create the best possible category management strategies for retailer customers.
AWMA is comprised of convenience distributors who represent more than $85 billion in U.S. convenience product sales, and associate members who are allies to the convenience retailing industry.
