BellStores Automates Fuel Pricing Processes
MASSILLON, Ohio — BellStores Inc. selected PriceAdvantage’s software platform to streamline and automate its store-specific fuel pricing strategies at its 55 Ohio convenience stores.
According to PriceAdvantage, BellStores selected its software based on its ability to allow the retailer’s fuel analysts to directly drive their fuel price changes based on their intimate knowledge of the market, as well as corporate strategies.
By establishing predefined, store-specific strategies, BellStores will be able to streamline and automate price changes to its point-of-sale systems, pumps and price signs, allowing the retailer to execute faster, more informed price changes, the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based fuels and technology company explained.
“To remain competitive, we realized we needed to replace the time-consuming, manual processes of collecting competitive data and communicating new prices,” stated Doug Combs, vice president at BellStores. “PriceAdvantage will help us streamline and automate competitive surveys and posting new prices. And the fact that I can do this from my phone or tablet is really exciting.”
With the software platform, BellStores is utilizing PriceAdvantage’s software-as-a-service solution to leverage the benefits of a cloud service model, including low upfront costs, ease of implementation, and maintenance and infrastructure cost benefits.
“BellStores has a long history of providing quality fuel at fair, honest prices,” stated Chip Stadjuhar, president and CEO of Skyline Products, of which PriceAdvantage is a division. “PriceAdvantage will enable the BellStores team to support their corporate mission by allowing them to respond more quickly to market changes to ensure they offer competitive fuel prices without sacrificing margins.”
Massillon-based BellStores Inc. has been family owned since 1939.
