Bismarck Cenex Hosts E85 Promotion
BISMARCK, N.D. -- With an estimated 29,000 flexible fuel vehicles statewide, a Cenex location here is the setting for this year’s National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day Odyssey, a national event that celebrates cleaner-burning alternatives to traditional fuels.
Between 4 and 7 p.m. today, the Cenex station at 1160 W. Divide Ave. in Bismarck will reduce the price of its E85 fuel by 85 cents a gallon, with a limit of 30 gallons per vehicle.
"What I like about this national event is that it is not an attack on the petroleum industry, which is very important to our state and our nation, but rather a celebration of some of the new clean air choice options available to drivers today," Valerie Kummer, coordinator of the Red River Valley Clean Cities Coalition, said in a statement. "Even oil company executives are now saying America needs more fuel diversity, and North Dakota-made biofuels can help us offer more choices at the pump that help to reduce air pollution."
