BP Adds Ease to Driver Rewards Program
CHICAGO — BP plc is making a change to its rewards program to make it easier for drivers to earn rewards on fuel purchases.
Consumers are now able to link any major credit card to their BP Driver Rewards account. Members will be able to save time at the pump as they will only need to swipe their preferred credit card instead of also needing to carry and swipe their BP Rewards card each time they fill up, according to the company.
"We know our customers are busy, and we hope this simple upgrade will make it easier for them to take advantage of our loyalty program and keep them coming back," said Donna Sanker, chief marketing officer of BP Fuels North America.
BP previously partnered with Visa Inc. to allow members to link an eligible Visa payment card to their account, as CSNews Online previously reported.
Consumers can link up to five eligible major credit cards to their BP Driver Rewards account online. For existing members, activation will take place within 48 hours of the May 10 announcement. New members will be able to link their credit cards during the registration process.
BP plc is an oil and gas producer. Its Chicago-based North American division employs approximately 18,000 people in all 50 states.
