Burger King to Offer $1 Dogs in National Hot Dog Day Celebration
MIAMI — Burger King is offering a $1 Classic Grilled Dog deal when it celebrates National Hot Dog Day on July 23. The promotion is available at participating restaurants nationwide for one day only.
The chain added Grilled Dogs as a permanent menu item in February, making it the largest restaurant chain to serve hot dogs in the United States, as CSNews Online previously reported.
"Nothing says summertime more than a grilled hot dog," said Alex Macedo, president, North America, for the Burger King brand. "So we're kicking off National Hot Dog Day with a bang for just a buck, giving everyone a new reason to come in and try Grilled Dogs if they haven't already."
Grilled Dogs are available in both the Classic Grilled Dog and the Chili Cheese Grilled Dog. The Classic Grilled Dog is a flame-grilled hot dog made with 100-percent beef and topped with ketchup, mustard, chopped onions and relish, while the Chili Cheese Grilled Dog is the same beef hot dog topped with warm chili and shredded cheddar cheese. Both are sold separately or as a combo meal.
The $1 deal applies only to the Classic Grilled Dog. It typically sells for a recommended price of $1.99 or as a combo meal with a small fountain drink and fries for the recommended price of $4.49.
