C-store Owner Gives Away Gas
REDFORD, Mich. -- The owner of a Mobil Mart convenience store here, Tarek Saad, recently gave away gallons of free gasoline at his station after receiving $50,000 from a lottery commission when he sold a winning $135 million lottery ticket, local television station WTVG reported.
"I got $50,000 from the state, and I feel like I shouldn't keep it by myself. I should share it with the customers," he told the station.
Along with the free gas, customers also received free hot dogs, ice cream and candy. Dozens of vehicles lined up to fill their tanks at pumps that would normally charge $3.29 per gallon, the report stated.
