Carl's Jr. Adds Healthier Option With Turkey Burgers
CARPINTERIA, Calif. -- Burger fans can lighten their calorie load with Carl's Jr.'s new line of turkey burgers, the fast-food chain announced.
As of this week, waist-watching customers can choose a turkey burger that contains less than 500 calories instead of the 1,400-calorie Monster Burger, the company said. The new line includes the Turkey Burger, which comes with ketchup, mayonnaise, lettuce, red onion, tomato and dill pickle chips; the Teriyaki Turkey Burger, which comes with teriyaki sauce, grilled pineapple, Swiss cheese, red onion, tomato and lettuce; or the Guacamole Turkey Burger, which comes with freshly prepared guacamole, pepper Jack cheese, tomato and lettuce.
Sister restaurant chain Hardee's is also selling the new burgers, said the company.
