CEFCO Opens First Sonic at Newest Prototype Store
PANHANDLE, Texas — CEFCO Convenience Stores' newest prototype store features a Sonic restaurant, a first for the convenience retailer.
The convenience store in Panhandle is CEFCO's 23rd 5,500-square-foot prototype location the retailer has opened in the past several years. It is the second prototype location to open this year.
CEFCO's newest-generation store reflects the latest design. It incorporates a number of innovative enhancements made possible by an open, fresh design, with modern treatments, and upgraded finishes, according to the company.
"We are excited to re-open this location in west Texas," said Brett Giesick, chief retail officer for CEFCO, adding the company is also excited about the opening of its first Sonic restaurant.
The newly remodeled store offers CEFCO's latest hot and cold "Fresh Eats" grab-n-go offerings, as well as its traditional "Fresh Joe" coffee and other beverage offerings, he added.
The combined square footage for this co-branded location is 7,500 square feet. The location has 12 fueling positions, as well as four side island diesel lanes.
Temple, Texas-based CEFCO operates 227 c-stores and 19 quick-service restaurants in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
